South Superstar Banks on Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Awarapan’

Shreya Saran is a superstar in South Indian films and has worked with the biggest stars including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh. She is proud to be a part of Indian cinema’s biggest film ‘Sivaji’ opposite none other than Rajnikanth. And she is also making entry in Hindi films with Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Awarapan’ directed by Mohit Suri. Her co-star in the film is Emran Hashmi.

‘Awarapan’ is an important film, for Vishesh Films as it the most expensive film to have emerged out of their stable. With a whopping budget of Rs 18, crore it’s a total departure from their average budge of Rs 5 to Rs 6 crore (At the maximum). But apparently they have made an exception for ‘Awarapan’ as it required the foreign technician and has to be shot at several foreign locations.

Talking about Shreya, well she is a down to earth, practical and simple girl who in spite of having witnessed huge stardom in Telugu and Tamil films, continues to be level headed. She earlier acted in a Hindi film ‘Shukriya’ which went unnoticed and she is hoping to make a name for herself in Hindi films as well. Let’s see if ‘Awarapan’ does the trick for her…
